...Several new pool sticks have been purchased for the activity.  Hopefully this will make the game more challenging.  I am planning to attend the next "Book Swap" with the other organizations, so if there is any other authors or titles you would like me to keep an eye out for, please let me know.  Also, if there is anything you see fit to replace or something new you would like to have, please let me know.  I will see what we can do for you.

The quilting club has received a large donation of material from an anonymous donor.  Some one dropped it off when only a few people were here and a name was not given.  The club is very thankful and would like to express their sincere thanks to this donor, whom ever they may be.  If you happen to know, please let us know and if the donor wishes to remain silent, please thank them for us.

The rules of signing up and prepaying will remain in effect for the new year.  Please be courteous to all by signing up ahead of time and making sure that if there is a prepayment to be made that it is made on time.  Always remember that if you are not sure that you can attend, it is better to have your name on the list anyhow because it is easier to have it removed than to have it put on.  Each event has a deadline for signing up and prepaying if needed.

...to remind others who are unfortunate and do not have a Center to attend that we are here and can open up a whole new world for them.  A lot of our members have become ill and cannot return or merely passed on to "Greater Beginnings".  Extend your arms to help someonw who is lonely or bored.  We'll help you!

I have copies of a Community Service Phone Directory which was composed by the Lewistown Hospital.  They are on the card table at the front of the room with the newsletters.  Please feel free to take a copy and keep them at home just in case you may need them some time.

...There will be a sheet placed on the bulletin board for anyone who has a suggestion for an outing or an activity.  Even though I ask repeatedly, there are some that do not speak up, so to make you more comfortable, I am putting a suggestion sheet up so you do not feel you have to express your ideas publicly.

We are using the same procedure as in prior years when bad weather conditions occur.  In case of bad weather, we will be postponing our outings.  Those who have signed up will be notified personally in plenty of time if there is going to be a change.  If in the event that the Center is closed due to bad weather, it will be broadcast over your local radio stations with the other community cancellations.  All of this is primarily good common sense. Please be careful at all times!

 Please remember to keep tabs on the message board.  There are new names and addresses on it every day.  Winter can seem long enough, but it can seem longer when we are experiencing difficulties in our lives.  Please keep these people in mind and take action by sending that card or making that call or even taking time for that special visit.  Above all, remember... our names could be there and we would look forward to the same!
