Derry Township, in conjunction with the Mifflin County Solid Waste Authority, is offering recycling bins located at the Township office. These bins are open to anyone (you do not have to be a resident of Derry Township to recycle). There are separate bins for the following items:
NEWSPAPERS
Any kind of newsprint excluding colored flyers.
CARDBOARD
Corrugated cardboard only.
MIXED PAPER
Examples:
- Notebook paper
- Telephone books
- Flyers
- Copy paper
- Worksheets
- Notebook covers w/spirals removed
- Poster board
- Wrapping paper
- Soft back text books
- Hard back text books(remove front & back covers)
- Chip board (like cereal boxes)
- Magazines
- Maps
- Manila folders
- Envelopes
- Junk mail
- Cards
- Colored newsprint
- Catalogs
